Frequently Asked Questions About Our Services
Eyebrows
HOW DO I KNOW WHICH TECHNIQUE IS RIGHT FOR ME?
• If you have little to no natural eyebrows, the Powder Ombré technique or Microblading is best suited and recommended. Microblading is also not recommended for those who have oily skin as the oil and sebum in your skin causes the hairlike strokes to fades faster, which will require more touch-ups. Ombre is best for those with oily skin. However, it too depends on your desired outcome of wanting a natural brow look of microblading, a fuller tinted look of ombré, or a combination of the two.
• Ombré powder technique can look natural too its a soft, powdery finish.
HOW LONG DOES IT LAST?
• Although this is a cosmetic tattoo technique, it will fade over time. After the first touch up, it should last anywhere from 1-3 years. Ombre lasts the longest; however, the longevity depends on your skin type, style chosen, and your lifestyle (skin care routines, tanning, chemical peels, aftercare, etc).
• If you have oily skin, you may require more frequent touch up.
• Improper aftercare can affect the results and retention.
• Uneven pigmentation can happen and this is resulted from poor healing, infection, bleeding and many other causes. The follow up appointment can correct any uneven appearance.
• Generally, the results are excellent. However, a perfect result is not a realistic expectation after an initial application. A touch up is not required, but we do highly recommend a touchup session to achieve optimal results & beautiful, longlasting brows. Although rare, in certain cases a third session may be needed with its corresponding fee. Touch up is recommended 4-6 weeks after the initial session, no later than 8 weeks.
• Final results cannot be guaranteed as each individuals skin type is unique and holds pigments differently. Some may require more touch up sessions than others. It is your responsibility to book any touchup appointments.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO HEAL?
• It takes 4-6 weeks to completely heal & it varies per person. Your brows will start peeling in 2-3 days after your session for 5-7 days & some cases 10 days.
• Those with oily skin may peel faster.
• When peeling, please DO NOT pick at it as you will pick off the pigment. The scabbing is completely normal. Once the scab falls off naturally, your brows will first look fuller & less defined, giving it a more natural look within a few weeks,
• Proper aftercare is an extremely important aspect as this can affect the overall results of your new brows. You must follow the after care instructions provided to you to achieve the best possible results.
WHAT TO EXPECT DURING THE HEALING PROCESS
• Lymph fluids in the first day - keep blotting every hour with a paper towel.
• Your brows will be very dark in the next 4 days onwards until they have completely peeled.
• Scabbing is normal - not heavy crusting (make sure you blot the lymph and wash with water and/or a mild soap....Cetaphil, Dove, etc...)
• Brows may be dry & itchy (apply light ointment as needed).
• Ombre brows may look like they have absolutely no color when the scabs come off, but the color will resurface and settle into the skin as it heals.
• Everyone's healing time is different.
• Once they have all peeled, the color can fade up to 40% and will shrink up to 10%.
HOW LONG IS THE PROCEDURE TAKE?
• The first initial session can take up anywhere from 2.5-3 hours as this includes consultation, photos/videos, brow mapping, numbing and the procedure itself. Please plan accordingly.
IS IT PAINFUL?
• Everyone has a different response to pain. This is a cosmetic tattoo that uses a needle so discomfort and mild pain is may occur.
• If you are extremely sensitive and have an extreme fear of needles, this cosmetic procedure is not good for you.
• My clients has stated the pain level is around 4-6 out of 10. You may take Tylenol 1 an hour before your PMU appointment.
• We apply topical numbing only (no injections) to aid with any discomfort, Topical anesthetics work better on some people more or less than others.
• There is no downtime needed as you can return to work/school after your appointment.
PLEASE NOTE: If you have been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, be aware that this may affect your sensitivity tolerance to the procedure.
HOW IS THE SHAPE DECIDED?
The shape is determined by the clients natural facial structure, natural brow shape, as well as, personal preference. The shape must be agreed upon by both the artist and client before proceeding with the tattoo.
IS IT POSSIBLE THAT I MAY NOT RETAIN ANY PIGMENT AT ALL?
Yes. This does and can happen to some. We cannot predict how skin reacts and heals. In rare occasions, a third appointment is required to access and make any necessary adjustments.
Some clients skin may react to the tattoo and skin may reject the pigment by producing extreme scabbing & the pigment will eventually disappear with the scabbing. There is a condition called Pigment Allergy (PPD Allergy, a condition known by dermatologist) or Auto Immune Disease symptoms. The skin would have over-reacted and become super sensitive to the pigment and will reject it once skin heals.
Every clients skin is different and healing varies per client, this service is never guaranteed and more than 1 touchup may be required at the clients expense.
HOW DO I RETAIN MY TATTOO ONCE HEALED?
• Keep away from Benzoyl Peroxide, Hydrogen Peroxide, Glycolic acid, Apple cider vinegar, Vitamin E and C, and retinols that can be found in Anti-aging / skin lightening/ skin brightening / acne products as continued use could deteriorate the pigment resulting in a bleached out color.
• Wear Sunscreen after brows have been healed if high exposure to the sun or over time can cause premature fading and discoloration of the pigment. You can wear a hat for further protection.
• No swimming or submerge in water as this also fades pigment.
• If you are having laser resurfacing or laser hair removal after your tattoo has healed, please inform the laser technician. Continue at your own discretion. Laser procedures may darken, lighten, or discolor the tattooed area.
IS IT REALLY NECESSARY FOR TOUCH UPS?
• THIS IS TYPICALLY A TWO STEP PROCESS: Initial session + a perfecting session. While some clients may accept the pigment and heal beautifully without a touch-up, most clients are required to come back for a second session. On some rare cases, a third session may be needed to achieve the desired look.
• Touch up is optional but is highly recommended within 4-6 week of your initial. During touch up is when we make adjustments to any areas that may not have healed properly, faded, and if desired, shape or colored.
WHAT TO EXPECT ABOUT THE PROCEDURE
We will be customizing a shape that suits your facial structure and natural brow shape. Please keep in mind, faces are naturally asymmetrical.

3. DURING THE PROCEDURE: Once the eyebrows have been numbed, the procedure begins one brow at a time until the desired color is achieved. Numbing cream can be applied, as needed, to ensure you are remain comfortable. All needles are disposable and sterilized in one-time use packages. 100% vegan pigment used.
5. COMPLETION: Once the process has been completed, aftercare instructions will be provided and answer any additional questions.
Lip Blushing FAQs
IS LIP BLUSH THE RIGHT TECHNIQUE FOR ME?
• If you are someone who has pale lips, dark lips, allergic to lipstick, have fillers, lost definition in your lips, wanting fuller lips, then this is a great procedure for you.
• Although this will not look like your favorite lipstick, it produces more of a nude/lip tint result.
• Everyone's skin takes reacts differently. We start light and can build color during touch up,
IS IT PAINFUL?
• Lips are one of the most sensitive areas in the body and the skin is very thin
• Everyone has a different response to pain. This is a cosmetic tattoo that uses a needle so discomfort and mild pain is expected
• If you are extremely sensitive and have a strong fear of needles, this cosmetic procedure is not good for you
• Bruising CAN happen if improper pre-care is not followed.
• Pain level has been reported by my clients around 4-6 out of 10. You make take Tylenol 1 an hour before PMU appointment, if needed.
• We apply topical numbing only on open skin throughout the process to alleviate any discomfort and make it more comfortable for you but there can still be pain as anesthetics work better on some people than others.
• You may feel sore after the procedure when the numbing cream wears off but it isn't unbearable.
WHAT IS THE HEALING PROCESS LIKE?
• Some swelling, tenderness, slight bruising can occur after the procedure but this is normal and can last a few days depending on your lip sensitivity.
• There is a chance your lips may look like you got lip fillers but this will subside within 48-72 hours.
• The healing process may vary per person but on average, it is about 7 days for the scabbing. It can take several weeks for the color to set & fully blossom and can go through a transition of colors before the desired color appears, especially for lip neutralization.
WILL THIS PROCEDURE TRIGGER COLD SORES?
Lip Blush may trigger cold sores or carriers of the herpes simplex virus. To prevent this from occurring, it is highly recommended to take antiviral medication prescribed from your family doctor 5 days prior, day of, and 5 days after your procedure even if you have never had cold sores before. If you choose not to adhere to this recommendation, you are taking sole responsibility of the chances of a cold sore developing.
WHAT TO EXPECT DURING THE HEALING PROCESS.
We advise all clients to blot every hour for the first day and reapply healing ointment every hour or else your lips will be very chapped and dry.
DAY 1 – Lips will be swollen and very bright/vibrant & will produce some lymph.
DAY 2 – Swelling will go down and lips will go darker
DAY 3 – Lips will start to peel/scab (DO NOT pick) and will be very dry. Keep moisturized.
DAY 4 – Peeling continues. Keep moisturized.
DAY 5-7 - All peeling is gone. Lips can still feel very dry. Continue ointment and keep moisturized.
Lip color will slowly show in the next few weeks. TRUST THE PROCESS!
CAN I STILL GET LIP FILLERS?
• Yes. Getting lip blushing doesn't interfere, but it must be at least 5 weeks before or after your lip blush appointment.
CAN WE GO OUTSIDE OF THE LIP LINE?
• No. The skin on the lips is not the same as on the face and things can look unnatural and get unpredictable when we tattoo too far outside the natural lip line. We draw the shape based on your natural lips. We are NOT changing your lip shape, but simply enhancing and creating a more crisp shape.
• We stop lining once we see the pores on the skin.
HOW IS THE COLOUR CHOSEN?
• We advise you to bring in their favorite lipstick/lip gloss color that is used daily and we will try to mix colors to get as close as possible. It is not recommended to bring a bright red as this will not be your everyday color.
• There is no set color for everyone. The same color/mixture used can appear different due to each person's unique lip undertone.
• For dark lip neutralization, you won’t be able to choose the color in the first session. The first session is purely neutralization. Depending on how dark your lips are and how they heal, we will either do your touch up session at 8 weeks or 12 weeks. The next few sessions will depend on how they healed and how much of the darkness was lifted. Once we have neutralized the lips back to a pink tone then we can go ahead and proceed with lip blushing to achieve your desired color.
Lip Neutralization FAQs
If your lips are discolored in any way, brown, cool, dark-toned, hyperpigmented, or melanin-rich, and you wish to get lip blush, you MUST neutralize first. NO EXCEPTION. You must submit photos before booking your appointment to be approved.
The initial session can range anywhere using bright orange/yellow colors to neutralize your lips. They will NOT heal orange/yellow.
Please keep in mind that neutralization is a process and requires patience. Multiple sessions are required and you will be charged for the extra fees. Touch ups are not included. Each session can take anywhere from 8-12 weeks apart.

• Yes, but depends on your desired results. The first appointment is neutralizing and building a foundation of pigment to create a very natural look.
• Keep in mind the color will neutralize about 30-40% once healed
• Do not expect perfection after one session.
• We recommend a touch up 8-12 weeks.
• Multiple sessions are recommended to layer more pigment into your skin.
• Some may need a 3rd or 4th session to complete the process and achieve desired results.
